Welcome to the Tibooburra - Milparinka page.

Tibooburra/Milparinka Branch of ICPA was formed in late 1971, just after the inaugural meeting at Bourke.

In July 1995, our branch helped with morning and afternoon tea catering for the Broken Hill Federal Conference, it was wonderful to see so many of our members travel to Broken Hill for this.

November 1996 saw the 25th Anniversary celebrations for our branch, with a fashion parade, roast dinner, trivia night and auction. This was held in Tibooburra at the Tibooburra War Memorial Bush Childrens' Hostel.

Appreciation certificates were awarded to Mr Frank Nicholls, Mr Paddy Barlow and Mrs Dorothy O'Connor and there was a formal cutting of the cake. The cake was decorated with the emblem of ICPA, emblazoned across the top.

Our branch has meetings on air via the VHF School Radio and face to face meetings in Tibooburra which we try to coincide with our Distance Education Mini Schools, P & C meetings, etc, so as to make travelling the vast distances for some worthwhile.

General Description:
