Centrelink The Centrelink website has been incorporated into the Department of Human Services website. The new site is a convenient, single entry point for health, social and welfare payments and services.

Department of Education and Training This website provides guidelines to access the Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme (AIC) as well as comprehensive information for students.

Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme (AIC) Help for parents and carers of primary, secondary and certain tertiary students who cannot go to an appropriate state school because of geographical isolation, disability or special health need.

Youth Allowance can assist you if you are a young person who is studying, undertaking training or an Australian Apprenticeship, looking for work, or if you are sick.

Rent Assistance Financial help to people who pay rent and receive a Centrelink payment.

Abstudy may help you stay at school or go on to further studies, if you are an Indigenous secondary or tertiary student or a full-time Australian Apprentice.

The Office of the eSafety commissioner has a brilliant guide to respond to cyberbullying.  The issues are more than just getting the content taken down -- there are emotional, sometimes physical, and definitely social implciations for the young person involved, regardless if they are the target, a bystander or perpetrator of the cyberbullying behaviour. 

FRRR - The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal assists rural, regional and remote Australians by providing grant funding, lending its tax deductible status to help communities fundraise and build capacity.

My School - My School is a unique and innovative online resource. It provides up-to-date quality data on the performance and resources available to more than 9,500 Australian schools. The site also allows comparisons to be made between schools.

NRHA - National Rural Health Alliance comprises 28 Member Bodies, each a national body in its own right, representing health professionals, service providers, consumers, educators and researchers.

Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner - The site offers a range of resources for parents including information on cyberbullying, parental controls, and videos covering  basic online concepts that every parent needs to know.

Positive Choices - This website is funded and endorsed by the Australian Government Department of Health and provides evidence-based drug education resources for school communities. The website includes resources for parents such as ‘How to approach conversations with your teen’, ‘Drugs and the law’ and fact sheets on the different drugs. This site may be helpful to parents as they prepare their children for times when they are away from home where they may be exposed to a number of situations that they need to know how to manage. 

QILT (Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching) - An innovative website that compares quality indicators for learning and teaching at Australian higher education institutions.The Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching or QILT website helps students and their families make informed choices about their higher education options by bringing together survey data from all Australian universities about students' experiences and graduate job outcomes.

AHVISE - AHVISE is an educational volunteer organisation comprising of a dedicated team of volunteers from all around Australia, who enjoy to give to others. They support rural and remote outback families who are looking for help in their remote school rooms. These include families, mothers and fathers, who teach their own children at home due to their geographic isolation.
